Penal Code § 211. Robbery is the felonious taking of personal property in the possession of another, from his person or immediate presence, and against his will, accomplished by means of force or fear.

Under California state law, the punishment for robbery is up to five years in state prison. If weapons were involved or if there are any injuries to victims, the penalties and jail time will be much more severe.
